Papkot® has launched the worlds first paper cupspecific coating based on bio + mineral ingredients. This lightweight, highperformance paperbased barrier coating solution achieves innovation from the material source. Designed exclusively for food contact and disposable packaging applications, it fully aligns with and complies with the latest EU regulations.
Free from traditional petrochemical coatings like acrylic, EAA and PVOH, it uses no artificially modified polymers and delivers barrier properties directly from raw materials. At a coating weight of around 8 g/m, it achieves Cobb 10 g/m and KIT 12, with strong water and oil resistance and stable structure. It is suitable for hot and cold paper cups and food-contact packaging, supporting lightweight design.
